MICA TAPES
Over the last 10 years Westral has worked closely with leading mica tape manufacturers to develop our own WFR mica tape range. We control all aspects of the production from silicon resin selection and content percentage right through to glass substrate material thickness and weave. WFR material has been tested and approved by several leading cable manufacturers who have approved their cables under IEC 60331, BS 6387 and AS/NZS 3013. Westral can provide "joint free" WFR Mica tapes on packages up to 2500 mtrs. Special widths and package dimensions can be manufactured to meet customer specifications for use on in-house customer taping machines.
